Watch YouTube videos on your Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800

This week sees the roll out of an S60 5th edition of the mobile YouTube app. I’ve used this app on my E71 previously and it’s a great way of dipping into the curious world of YouTube video. Rolling it out on the 5800 XpressMusic and N97 is a boon for owners of those devices. I’ve just installed the app on my N97 and it works a treat, is brilliantly quick (over WiFi) and swiping through videos works great.

Mark over at The Nokia Blog has put together a quick video which takes you through the key features of the app, and shows off the swipe scrolling functionality. Scrolling is smooth and responsive. Mark doesn’t like the fact the app doesn’t use up the whole screen, but it does mean the menu is easy to access.
